This is how you do an obnoxiously large and ridiculous nameplate.
When the Raptor first debuted I was in love with everything but the grill, but it grew on me. Now with the new one, I'm not exactly a fan of the tailgate design, but Dodge (that's right, I said Dodge) is making me appreciate how well Ford has pulled off ostentatious.
Seriously, guys. This looks like something you can buy from AutoZone by piecing together a bunch of those terribly cheap chrome letters, except those don't come in the size of douche.

I officially declare the design language of the new Ram grille to be "mushroom cloud."
Besides that, the only difference between the two is chrome vs matte black plastic.

You know, I don't really like either, but the Raptor pulls it off much better than the Ram. Maybe because the Raptor harkens back to the older F-150s that had Ford in the tailgate? Or maybe because the Ram is all chrome? Looks like someone just went to Pep Boys and got some giant chrome letters and stuck it on the back. Like when all those fools were rolling around with the chrome numbers of the size of wheels they have.

If they made the giant "RAM" color matched to the vehicle, I think it would look pretty fantastic. Still obvious, but with a slight touch of subtlety
